Looks like I have another cold. But, considering I only had 1 for all of last year, that's not too bad.

Most frustrating thing...

...is even if the students learn absolutely NOTHING, and I mean NOTHING and they fail every test, they STILL graduate and get a certificate from the school. So, what's the point???

Nanshan Temple in Zhangzhou

Last month I went to Nanshan(南山） Temple in Zhangzhou with my friend. As usual I forgot to bring my camera but my friend brought hers, so here are Dawn's pictures. She's a much better photographer than I am.

One year

I've been in China for about one year now. I have about four months left.

Gee

Two weeks into the new semester and I'm already ready to leave.

Been pretty busy

Looks like my worst fear has been confirmed. I'm going to have to teach the work load of 2 teachers. They tried to hire a 3rd teacher but he can't get a visa, the local authorities are pretty much looking for any excuse to reject people here in Zhangzhou. So, now I'm busy as hell.

English QQ

The insanely popular IM client QQ finally has an English version. It's pointless to use QQ unless you live or have a ton of friends in China since it's really only used here. But pretty much every single young person I've ever talked to has a QQ account.
